Each year we bring in artists, animators, crafters, game makers, and YouTubers from best parts of the fandom and give them the spotlight at BABSCon. From panels and special events to games and sneak peaks, our Community Guests add a whole new level of awesome to BABS.
ACLP Films
ACLP Films is a 3D Animator who creates 3D Animation using Source Filmmaker to make Pony-related content. One of the talented skills he does is Photography, Graphics Design, Motion Graphics, and especially 3D Animation. He's been around the fandom since 2018 and started his Youtube channel in 2020. He's been using his free time to write up stories and create animation from his own vision. Over the years he has been creating original ideas when it comes to SFM Ponies. His topic when it comes to SFM Ponies is SFM Music Videos, comedy skits, memes, and a new addition Motion Capture SFM Animation. Baron Engel
Baron Engel has been a free-lance illustrator since the late 1980s. He’s done illustration work for books, magazines and comics; along with concept design for video games and preproduction art for film and television. He's been involved in various fandoms since 1989. However in 2011 he discovered Friendship is Magic, and fell in love with it and the fandom that supports it.
Today Baron along with his wife run a freelance art company called Smudgemarks and Engelwerks. His current interests include lucid dreaming, storytelling, history, aviation, 5th Edition D&D, military history, motor vehicles, cooking, reading, good coffee, fine spirits, and world-building. Choco Pony
Choco Pony has been long active in the brony fandom for the last decade. They served as the original Design Lead for BABSCon, and created the logo, mascots, and general ascetic of the convention still used to this day. They are active in the community when it comes to tracking and recording history of the fandom and convention scene, as well as active as an artist having created the Equestria tarot deck, many flag designs including the famous trans Trixie flag, and many more memorable art pieces and merch. They are currently starting up the TransformARTive YouTube channel that covers topics including fandom history, art history, and evolution of culture. Twitter
Commentary Is Magic
Commentary is Magic is thrilled to return to BABSCon 2023, bringing all the joy and excitement of the My Little Pony Collectible Card Game with them! Since 2015, CiM has focused on organizing and running livestreamed CCG tournaments (with commentary, of course!) and new player demos at conventions both pony-focused and otherwise. Additionally, their regular broadcasts on Twitch have helped to provide players of all skill levels with helpful tips and tricks, featured duels between community members, and deck ideas for a variety of playstyles. Commentary is Magic has been responsible for Organized Play since 2018, hosting Continental Championships, Store Championships and regular OnlineCons during the pandemic to allow fans around the world to continue to connect and play.
As one of the first conventions to host MLPCCG Events, BABSCon will always have a special place in our hearts, and we're pulling out all the stops this year for an awesome event schedule! BABSCon 2023 will continue to feature the Adventure format as our Main Event, as well as tournaments for Core and convention favorites like Team (Meme) Sealed and Cube Draft, so come compete and join the fun! CosmicKeyframe
CosmicKeyframe is a content creator for the pony fandom and beyond! On her own socials, she is a multi-talented artist, frequenting many ponycon vendor halls, streaming live on Youtube and Twitch, and making reviews focusing on the wonders of animation! Outside of her channel, she is a member of famous nerdcore channel DAGames, and a main cast member in SaltyDKDan's Friendlocke! DUSTYKATT - THE MANLIEST BRONY IN THE WORLD
Who is this goofball? And why can’t people stop staring at that mustache?
Dusty's life is a manly checklist. The son of an auto worker (have you driven a Ford lately?), high school and college athlete (baseball, football), former bodyguard and ranch hand, trained Big Time wrestler, and Harley mechanic whose custom motorcycles have appeared on the cover of “Easyriders”. A pessimist would say “he can’t make up his mind”; an optimist would say “no single career is big enough for his mustache”.
And he watches a cartoon show intended for little girls. Well, what do you expect from the Manliest Brony in the World?
What’s with that? Well, aside from making him grin like someone who just found a twenty dollar bill in his underwear, it’s given him a chance to do what he does best: ham it up. Dusty is known primarily for his former show “Stay Brony My Friends”, his YouTube videos which have gone viral, and separating convention-goers from their money at charity auctions. Dusty fearlessly treads upon the crushed skulls of YouTube trolls and hack journalists as he destroys stereotypes. What he is most proud of, though, is his fans. The finest bronies in the world (his audience… that includes YOU, right?) have come together to raise over 50,000 dollars for a variety of charities. This has also piqued the curiosity of documentary filmmakers.
He can be seen in “Thatch and Dial”, a Youtube series he is collaborating on with Andy Stein (Mandopony), as well at the Analyst Anarchy TF2 series with Dr. Wolf and friends. His continued appearances on Bronies React, and he has lent his voice to “Backstrap” in the Fallout Equestria radio play by East Corp. Productions as well as in the animation “Allister and Melody by Luximus as Randy (hot dog guy), and you will see him in the Music Video for Mettalica's song “Halo on Fire”
He co-starred in a student film called “Under” with an on screen roll and he is also the Audiobook narrator for the Fantasy/Sci-Fi “Portals of Infinity” series, book 3 “Of Temples and Trials” , book 4 “The Sea of Grass” and Book 5 “Demigods and Deities” are all available on both Audible and books with more to come!

EG Studios
EG Studios is an independent artist and animator of the brony fandom since 2016. He's been known for creating fluid hand drawn animation for projects for MLP content such as "How it Should Have Ended: My Little Pony Edition", original content like Film Festival Award Winning "Sparky the Hummingbird" and now currently working as a storyboard artist for BoldBird Studios. Howdy! I'm a background artist and I work at Spindlehorse toons on the show, Helluva Boss. I've been working there for 2 years now and I have work in Season 2. I'm also currently in my finally year at the Academy of Art University where I'm studying Visual Development (aka concept art and the like). I've been a fan of animation since I was little, and brought my love of it into my career. I started out seriously drawing in middle school when MLPFiM came out and I started my artistic career drawing oc ponies and fan-art. Meet Lightning Bliss, the spunky, tiny, rainbow alicorn of the Brony Analysis Community, proud member of the Secret Rift Cafe as well as the Blue Team's "Heavy" and Lead Editor for Josh Scorcher's and DRWolf's TF2: Analysis Anarchy Series! Looney Turtle
Looney T. Turtle and Erik the human are a couple of weirdos that love to analyze and talk about cartoons. Erik does most of the talking, but his turtle-ular sidekick pipes up periodically to ask the audience's burning questions like "What", "Huh", and his favorite question: "how?" While the majority of their videos cover ponies and the shenanigan's around Equestria, this duo has found themselves discussing other subjects as well like five nights at Freddy's lore, Steven Universe, and even Llama's with Hats. These two will be singing some songs and parading around the event space all weekend!

Luna Brony
The best known as "The King of Dreams". He started his journey joining the MLP fandom since 2017 as a YouTuber bringing content from his favorite series "MLP: Friendship is Magic" on his YouTube channel. As he is also a news journalist for My Little Pony who is the CEO of "Las Noticias MLP" since it began its foundation in 2017 to provide the most important news of the franchise. What no one is missing is not only a fan of My Little Pony, but also passionate about culture and art as much as videogames. He is a contributor to a "PonyLatino" page to bring news to its users for all of Latin America. Writer, artist, and video editor, Silver Quill has served many roles in the Brony fandom. Starting out with comics he eventually gained a YouTube following by combining classical ideas with modern expressions and slapstick humor. He became an editorial writer for Equestria Daily and a frequent guest on Bronies React. BABSCon was the first MLP convention he ever attended and has made it a point to come back each year since. Taylor Bowe Mcardle
Taylor has been a part of the brony fandom since 2016 after a close friend told him about the show when he needed it the most. He is seen by the community as a positive influencer, friend to all, and is well recognized for supporting community artists and vendors. He hosts a hangout event in the BlepCon discord server called “Webcam Hangout” every Tuesday night to give folks that “being back at a con feeling” virtually. As you can tell from his outfit, he is a huge fan of a certain character that, well…shows off the “Glimmer Gang” pride. Whenever he isn’t fantasizing about Starlight Glimmer, he is also heavily invested in auto racing. You can always find him on Twitter talking about any and all things…..yeah you get the idea.
For the last now six years of being in the fandom I have always wanted to help out and be a friend to many people. For me personally and anyone you talk to they will say that I'm a very positive, outspoken and a great spokesperson for the community. I show a great presence with an incredible sense of humor that many get a kick out of. Nowadays people enjoy seeing me in all my Glimmer gear that appreciate my dedication towards Starlight. At Everfree Northwest in 2019, con goers would come up to me asking for a photo with me or my Starlight plush and ask for my autograph even though I wasn't a community guest for the con and has been the case since then as you can see. I guess I'm doing something right here, MLP saved my life after I wasn't sure what my place would be following high school. This fandom has done wonders for me, and I love to continue giving back to the community, I have been signal boosting vendors throughout the COVID-19 pandemic whenever an online event would be taking place and will continue doing so when in person events return like this one and Everfree. I run an event in the BlepCon discord server to give those a place to hang out, talk and chill like we were back at a con feeling and turnout around 15 to 20 people a week and that's with Webcams on and everyone that attends has a wonderful time and leaves feeling happier.
Currently as of the filing of this application, I have roughly 4,034 twitter followers. Anyone you talk to in this fandom will tell you that they're always so happy to see me attend conventions, put on fun & entertaining panels, do these weekly hangout events in the BlepCon discord server I'm in, wearing my Glimmer gear on the con floor and being stopped frequently by a lot of other attendees. I have been someone that wants to give others a chance to be a part of panels and have fun. Being very supportive of others like the vendors in the vendor hall that I mentioned signal boosted them throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, cosplayers, musicians etc. Had someone from Ciderfest this past year travel all the way from Norway to attend my panels and told me how excited he was to meet me in person for the first time. I was incredibly honored by that and have inspired some to start doing their own content creating at cons. That remains to be my biggest mission over the next several years.
